NEW YORK — Donald Trump’s bid for the White House on Tuesday is set to set a new house price for a luxury home, one of a number of potential bids for the U.S. presidency.
Trump is setting a bid price for the Trump International Hotel in Washington, the White Houses spokesman, Mark Corallo, said in an email.
The bid is in line with a $200 million listing of the property by the New York-based estate agent Avanti Property Group on Friday, according to records provided by Corallo.
“We believe this is an outstanding opportunity to raise the standard of our high-end properties and establish a new benchmark for the market,” Corallo said in a statement.
The price is not an exact figure but a ballpark estimate, Corallo added.
Trump has not released any bids.
